JOIN A SEARCH PARTY

In the top left of the app is a menu with “Join Group”, this will lead you to a page where you enter the town that the person went missing.

Once you have submitted the town, it will display a list of the people in that town that are missing. Simply click on the name of the missing person you are looking for.

 

USING THE MAP

This will then take you to a map of the town where the search is based. on this you will notice RED DOT’S, these are the areas where people have looked. From this you can see if there are areas that require searching.

 

 

A RED MARKER PIN, this is the last known sighting of the person.

Also a TRANSLUCENT CIRCLE, this is the area where statistically people are found within at this time of searching. The circle will grow as time goes by, as the person may have travelled further from their last known point.


FUNCTIONS

GROUP INFORMATION, situated on the top bar. This displays the group name and a small photo of the missing person. If you click on this, it will open up a large box with information about the missing person and a photo of them.

SHARE, situated in the top left menu is a share function. This will allow you to share on social media the information about the missing person and app. This is important as it will raise awareness and include more people in the search group.

MESSAGE,situated in the top bar. This will allow all users in the group to chat to one another. sharing important possible sightings and other information.

TRACKING ON/OFF, this turns on/off the tracking feature. This will save battery when it is not required.

IF YOU FIND THE PERSON CALL THE EMERGENCY SERVICES IMMEDIATELY

That’s it, your all done and ready to help find someone….but wait!

SAFETY, One person missing is quiet enough! If you are going out searching make sure you do it safely, go with someone else. Tell people where you are going. Wear suitable clothing, take a torch, food and drink. Do not risk your own safety trying to get to places that are hard to reach of have high risk, leave these for the experts! Stay safe
